{"id":694,"date":"2014-08-01T20:36:04","date_gmt":"2014-08-01T19:36:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/moononastick.com\/blog\/?p=694"},"modified":"2014-08-01T20:36:04","modified_gmt":"2014-08-01T19:36:04","slug":"safety-not-guaranteed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moononastick.com\/blog\/2014\/08\/safety-not-guaranteed\/","title":{"rendered":"Safety Not Guaranteed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whilst looking up what else the cast members of the excellent\u00a0<em>Parks and Recreation<\/em> have appeared in, I was very surprised to see\u00a0Aubrey Plaza starred in\u00a0a\u00a0film with an awfully familiar sounding title: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1862079\/?ref_=nv_sr_1\">Safety Not Guaranteed<\/a><\/em>. \u00a0Then I recalled where I knew it from:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ytmnd.com\/\">YTMND<\/a>\u00a0(remember that site? surprisingly it&#8217;s still going in the age of YouTube and Vine!) <a href=\"http:\/\/timetraveler.ytmnd.com\/\">A single page<\/a>\u00a0from way back in 2005, that eventually became one of the site&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/knowyourmeme.com\/memes\/safety-not-guaranteed\">defining memes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And yes, it turns out the film is based on it, or at least the original spoof newspaper advert which appeared in the YTMND.<\/p>\n<p>Given this fond memory, and the fact it had Aubrey Plaza in it, I just had to watch it.
